When he held my hand, he said he wouldn’t let go
Till eternity we are bound, we’ll face it together – high or low
When we wrapped each other in our arms so tight
The world felt beautiful, I wanted time to pause, as it seemed so right
When our eyes met for the first time ever
Our gazes seemed locked & it felt like this is the start of ‘forever’
Though our vocal chords were on a break, our eyes didn’t fail to express
Words of love & promises abundant – to fulfill which, a lifetime seemed less
As it got dark, I waited for him at the seashore
The clouds turned into a gloomy gray & it began to pour
I thought to myself “The romantic rain depresses me today”
Was GOD telling me something about this day?
Yes, it was on that dark rainy night – that very night
I saw him coming but today I didn’t want time to pause, it didn’t seem right
“Sorry” he whispered as he looked down, in which I read the word called “never”
It wasn’t an apology for being late; it was for waking me up from the dream of ‘forever’
Life rang the alarm clock & I rise to the radiant sun of the new day
The wounds healed, the heart stronger, my new dreams to become real, I Pray
The showers on that night have washed away the gloom & sorrow
The droplets of rain & the smiling sun combine to form a rainbow with shades of a beautiful tomorrow
