ALL IN A BADAMI-report 020

…….I mean in a nutshell … by Vishnu Hathiramani vishnu@skybroadband.com.ph

From Agra to Manila.
This year is full of wedding invitations. I just attending the wedding of a close family friend and believe me they had some excellent ideas, performers and organization skills.

Yogesh Sahijwani of Manila got married to Surabhi Paraswani of Agra on May 3. Let me list some excellent memories of the wedding.

1. Three French performers stole the show. The “PARIS.HOUSE.ADDICT” performed at two occasions, the Sangeet and the Youngsters party.
Fabrice Lauer is a great saxophone jazz player. Caroline Stenger, his live in partner, was amazing with her mini electric violin. {I am sure they will play great music together in their private time]
Chico Paris, the third member of the team, is the French “Dholaki”, Latin American style of drummer.
Believe me, it was one of a kind. It is definitely expensive to bring in this group, but then memories do have a price to pay.
They have performed in Goa twice and in Mumbai. Full details of this group will appear on the wedding section [lower portion] of this website very soon.

2. The Pajama party was an extremely success. This was part II, part I of the elder brother Sunil few years ago, and it is a difficult choice to say which pajama party was better. To make this kind of a party, it should be requested not to put make up, since people do not put make up before sleeping. But maybe the guests have seen too many Indian serial on Star and Zee where the actors sleep with full makeup and complete wardrobe, and hence they followed the idea.
3. During the Sangeet a new thrill was provided. Massage by experts relieved the pain of tired feet’s, and relaxed the body. The line got bigger as the word spread in the hall. All on the house.
4. DJ ZUBAIR of Dubai was a great performer. His songs can be downloaded from www.djzubair.com He teams with PARIS.HOUSE.ADDICT once in a while.
5. A professional emcee was flown in from Mumbai. This young Punjabi chap did wonders. He even surprised the host by announcing that 25 prize coupons are stuck below 25 chairs. Few minutes later when no winners emerged, he announced that it was just an exercise to excite the crowd. He can be contacted on gunjan_utreja@yahoo.co.in [there is a underscore between the two names]
6. Ok, the couple came in a Dune Buggy [beach type Car] and that was well appreciated.

In another wedding held here, the Lalwani- Menghnani wedding, a “KBC” or Anil Kapoor’s “Slum Dog Millionaire” kind of quiz show was organized. All questions were in relation to the wedding. Great they say.

As Sangeet emcee quipped: How can we celebrate the GEET without your SANG to have a wonderful Sangeet.

I am excited to attend the cruise wedding of Sanjay Tolani [of Dubai] with a beautiful Sindhi girl Chandani Samtani from Jakarta. 4 days will bring the guest around 3 countries, Malaysia, Thailand and Singapore. Sanjay will be featured very soon in our home page. He is a brilliant financial consultant.

Recently, another non-sindhi wedding was organized in Udaipur and they say it was one hell of a wedding. Log on to www. for the view of the wedding.

Jhule Lal.
